About Nathan

Nathan Martin joined the National Guard in March of 2001. He graduated from his military training 31 days before 9/11. He graduated from Lee University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (2003) and a Masters in Teaching History and Government (2004).

He served in Iraq from November of 2004 to November of 2005 with the 1/278th ACR Tennessee Army National Guard.  He served in the eastern part of Diyala Province, Camp Caldwell Iraq on the Iranian border.

While in Iraq, Nathan served as his battalion Casualty Operations Officer, Strength Accountability, and helped train two Iraqi Battalions in personnel operations issues.

Nathan Martin currently resides in Shelby, Ohio with his wife Mandi and their four children: Maddelyn, Emma, Caroline, and Elijah. Nathan Martin is currently serving as a Sergeant in the Ohio Army National Guard.

Nathan got interested in politics at the age of eleven. He started volunteering for campaigns at an early age. A few things have never escaped from Nathan's mind, his love for this country and his love of the political process.
